Precautions before Using Mixer Truck

In order to fully utilize the performance of the concrete mixer truck and ensure its service life, the new truck must be run in and driven before use. The operator should carefully read the relevant operation manual and perform the prescribed maintenance according to the manual. This article lists the relevant precautions when using the new mixer truck.

Pre driving inspection items:

Before driving the mixer truck, check whether the nuts and fasteners of the car tires are loose, and check the tire pressure.

1.Check the entire vehicle for any oil, water, or gas leaks, check if the fuel, coolant, brake fluid, and lubricating oil are normal, and check the water level in the tank.

2. Check if all electronic and manual switches are in the neutral or zero position.

3. Start the engine and observe if it is running normally; Check the instrument panel, air pressure lights, service brakes, and handbrake for normal operation, and observe if the mixing tank is in a stopped state.

Loading, transportation, and unloading of concrete:

1. Before loading, check if there is water in the mixing tank, drain it clean, and turn the operating handle to the appropriate position on the feeding side while the engine is idling, so that the mixing tank rotates at an appropriate speed.

After the loading is completed, the operating handle should be turned to the stirring position to increase the speed of the mixing tank to 1-3r/min, lock the operating handle, and lower the baffle of the discharge chute.

During the transportation of vehicles, the mixing tank must rotate at a speed of 1-3r/min according to the stirring direction, and must not stop rotating during transportation to avoid concrete segregation and even damage to equipment.

4. After arriving at the construction site, turn the handle to the appropriate position on the feeding side and rotate the mixing tank at 8-12 r/min for 1 to 3 minutes to mix the concrete evenly before unloading.

5. After unloading, turn the handle to the stop position and clean the unloading hopper, discharge chute, and extension chute with clean water to prevent concrete from solidifying in these areas.
